Course Contents
The course is practical training focused on the design of geotechnical structures using computer technology. Lessons will be focused primarily on the use of specialized geotechnical software GEO5 system, which is widely used in practice geotechnical firms and companies with a broader and building schools.

Practice topics:
- Computing of basic earth pressures (active pressure, passive pressure and pressure at rest),
- Design of spread footings (spread or strip footing),
- Design of a single pile (bearing capacity and settlement),
- Design of anchored retaining walls,
- Design of gravity retaining walls,
- Design of cantilever retaining wall,
- Design of gabion wall,
- Slope stability analysis,
- Stability of rock slopes.

The content of the course is to prepare a semestral project for one of the topics discussed within practice.
