Summary
Overview of factors, requirements and regulations for the indoor environment.
Internal microclimate - acoustic, thermal humidity, light, Odour and toxic aerosol, microbial, and electromagnetic, ionization, electrostatic, working with computer problems, relationship and health.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students will acquire knowledge and skills in the theory of the internal environment of buildings. Students will learn how to characterize the effects of individual factors and their effects on humans. Acquainted with the possibilities of optimizing microclimate factors.
Course Contents
Syllabus of lectures:
1st Introduction. Overview of factors, requirements and regulations for the indoor environment. Basic concepts - components of the residential environment (physical, chemical, biological), sources and forms of agencies. Requirements for structures (residential, industrial and agricultural). Legal and health regulations.
2nd Noise and vibration - acoustic microclimate
Basic terminology, sources of noise in the building, noise and vibration on humans, the permissible noise limits, elimination of noise in the interior.
3rd Indoor climate: hygrothermal microclimate - temperature and humidity conditions (air, moisture, temperature). Thermal comfort, basic concepts, mechanisms of human thermoregulation. Evaluation of humans and the environment. Optimization of pulse. moisture. Microclimate. Technical equipment and systems to create internal microclimate of buildings (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
4th Light, daylight, sunshine, and sunshine - light microclimate
Basic terminology, legislative requirements, daylight and solar radiation in the interior.
