Summary
Within the framework of the subject "Industrial and Technological Buildings", students will be acquainted with the specifics of design, assessment, execution and maintenance of industrial and technological buildings. Typical buildings with steel or reinforced concrete structures are introduced. Industrial and technological buildings represent a significant group of building structures, so it is important for the future practice of students to be familiar with this group of building structures.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
After completing this subject, students will be able to understand and apply the following skills and topic areas:
- basic overview and division of industrial and technological buildings;
- design and assessment of typical load-bearing structures of industrial and technological buildings;
- specific loads for industrial and technological buildings;
- corrosion protection and maintenance of industrial and technological buildings.
