Summary |
---|
Students are given a study of the use of concrete urban space. Their task is to use this space both in urban and technical terms. Students thus apply theoretical knowledge and the obtained background to practical examples. The general discussion of the students and the teachers is on top of the results. As part of the course, students practice teamwork as well as presentation and discussion skills. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

The course objective is the creation of urban spaces with utilization of the principles acquired in the subjects-typology, urban planning and road construction. Students practice their form of presentation of the principles of creating urban spaces using natural and artificial elements. |
Course Contents |

First proposal for street space , depending on the width of the road, the existence of a green lane , bike paths , sidewalks, parking lots , ( transverse arrangement proposal for local roads) Second proposal for public spaces (squares, pedestrian and residential areas, residential streets or other public space in buildings with amenities ) function , material , vegetation, drainage 3rd barrier-free use of public space - the application of the guiding principles solutions for people with limited mobility 4th principles placement of furniture , small architecture and other elements into the urban space , depending on the nature of the environment ( historic - monument protection with modern x ) 5th greenery in urban areas - types, uses, character arrangement 6th tackle drain rainwater from public spaces - handling and management of rainwater in urban areas ( substrate will enter BP ) 7th midterm test- simple summary of the basic principles |
