Summary
The cross-curricular subject provides a comprehensive knowledge of basic functions. In particular, the principles of keeping evidence, interventions in the technical and economic (use of areas, rents, energy costs) of the state of the building, following the mandatory documentation of the actual execution of the construction. The course deals with the issue of innovative tools for extending the usefulness and effectiveness of the construction work in the context of public interest with the use of Facility Management. It emphasizes the technical aspect of asset management using economic and decision making theories and tools to solve decision-making problems. Explains the importance of Facility Management in the context of life-cycle costs of buildings, benefits, and sustained long-term sustainable development in investment.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the subject is to provide students with orientation in new approaches to technical and economical use of FM support activities of effective use of buildings, building and space management, building life cycle and subsequent use of services in terms of performance management in operational, technical, economic and public procurement. Students will be focused on technical and economic activities related to planning and management of maintenance and renovation of buildings and complex building management (energy management, CAFM systems, object accessibility, space management, legal regulations and legal obligations, tools).
Course Contents
Sectional subject will provide comprehensive knowledge about the basics of Facility Management. Especially on the principles of keeping evidence on the technical intervention (modification, repair, maintenance) and economic (land use, rent, energy costs) object status, following the compulsory documentation of actual construction. The subject touches on the issues of innovative tools to extend the benefits and effectiveness of the works in the context of public interest with the use of Facility Management.
