Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Industrial production of concrete building components, input raw materials and their quality, production operations and assortment of products. Overview of current trends in prefabrication, using new technologies. Production of various types of products and structures ranging from small garden architecture to large bridge construction,etc.
Course Contents
History and importance of building components production, sorting and marking of building components.

Division of production according to various aspects. Current trends in development.

Storage and handling of input materials for the production of concrete components, specifics in prefab concrete production.

Production and transport of concrete in the factory.

Preparation and production of reinforcement.

Ancillary products, anchoring.

Molding technique. Mold preparation and reinforcement insertion.

Prestressed panels.

Filling with fresh concrete and its compacting and surface treatment.

Speed in gaining strength, accelerating hardening of concrete.

De-molding, treatment and finishing work.

Special production methods, continuous production, spatial parts.

Production of visual concrete.

Production of small products, vibration molding.

Mass and custom production of parts.
