Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with polymeric materials and their applications in the construction industry and beyond. Students should be able after the course understand the principle behavior of polymeric materials and know the advantages and limitations of using these materials for specific applications in practice. |

Lectures: introduction, definitions, terminology. The formation of macromolecular substances. Polymer structure and morphology, polymer crosslinking. Polymer behavior. Distribution of polymers. Polymer Composites. Properties and usage of conventional polymers in building practice.
