Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

The course deals with waste utilization in the civil engineering. Students are acquainted with valid legislation, terminology and division of usable waste in the building industry. Students will then be able to orientate themselves in the problems of coal tailings, by-products of metallurgical production and energy production, products of other materials combustion (biomass, paper sludge, municipal waste, etc.), recyclates, tires and plastics, glass, or other secondary raw materials. |

2) Coal tailings
3) Metallurgical by-products - loose materials, aggregate
4) Metallurgical by-products for the production of cement, binders
5) Energy production by-products (VEP, CCP - Coal Combustion Products) - loose materials, aggregate
6) By-products from energy production (VEP, CCP - Coal Combustion Products) - cement, concrete, grouting mixtures
7) Energy production by-products - energogypsum
8) Combustion products of other materials - biomass, paper sludge, municipal waste, etc.
9) Recyclates
10) Tires and crushed tires, plastics
11) Glass
12) Other secondary raw materials - PRESTAB, foundry sands, spent oil shale, ceramic fragments etc.
