Summary
The course introduces students to the problems of internal electrical wiring in buildings housing and civil construction, with design and construction of electrical power distribution systems in industrial premises, with provisions for laying electric power lines, performing electrical installations by external influences, electrical installations in special buildings. Furthermore, the subject deals with low-voltage connections, location of the connection box and measuring equipment, artificial lighting of indoor spaces, outdoor lighting, lightning and surge protection including grounding. Students will be acquainted with CAD systems to support design activities. Students will be assigned a separate project.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with modern methods for the processing of electrical documentation of buildings and apartments. Students will be able to work independently with electrotechnical documentation in the given range. During the semester students create their own project of electrotechnical documentation of the object. Students will learn how to use modern tools for electrotechnical documentation creation.
