Summary
The aim of the course is to gain basic knowledge of the creation of technical documentation and the function of machine components, shaft couplings, pressure vessels, pipes, valves, pumps and compressors. Students will learn how to work with technical documentation. They will also gain a basic understanding of engineering materials, their properties and testing. They also gain an overview of fasteners and couplings, bearings, shafts and shaft couplings, their stresses, static and especially dynamic. They will also have an overview of mechanical torque transmissions, pressure vessels, piping, valves, pumps and compressors.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
