| Summary |

| The course is focused on the interaction between the environment and human with respect to the issues of environmental protection and potential security threats. Despite the fact that environmental security does not currently have a fixed definition, it shields a lot of current topics, discussed in the society. It is presented what environmental security deals with and its relationship to national security, the distribution of environmental threats and several of them analyzed in detail. The content of thematic areas in the course is chosen in order to present the issues to the students as a whole - the affected areas of the environment, environmental topics in strategic and legislative documents of a national or international character, implementing preventive or remedial steps, etc. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic overview of environmental issues related to environmental protection, environmental threats and environmental security.
Students will be able to name and describe the partial environmental problems and threats will be able to analyze the negative impacts of the selected threats to humans and the environment and will be able to argue over the currently implemented steps to solve specific environmental problems. |
