Summary
Course will provide the students knowledge and skills for effective usage of information stored in information systems, including the methods to evaluate its security. Students will also get acquainted with basic concepts in GIS and possibilities of using information technology as support tool of security planning and management.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The goal of the subject is to gain basic knowledge about information systems area.

1. Introduction to the course
2. Information systems
3. Basics of the modeling using IT
4. Usage of IS in safety and security planning and management, including applications in critical infrastructure.
5. Introduction to geographic information systems (GIS) a and its usage in study branch.
6. IT security policy, computer system evaluation criteria, safety and security aspects of IS usage
7. Using ICT for crisis communication in communities
