Summary
The students learn basic rules how to take the samples of contaminated dangerous substances, eventually the gas hazardous substances to examine their properties in the laboratory. The education is drawn as the subsidiary information resource for the staff of the solution of extraordinary events during the interventions with escaping of hazardous substances. The part of the practice is also the assessment and recommendation how to liquidate hazardous substances, eventually to state protective provisions for population and intervening components of the Integrated Rescue System.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
To learn students to take samples of chosen dangerous substances, their identification, to determine their hazardous properties, to determine possible risks and the reaction of the rescue system to them.
Course Contents
Teaching program:
-Operational Laboratory Regulations for Toxic Substances,
-the operational guidelines of biological laboratories,
- the investigation of findings with a risk of CBRN presence in stationary and mobile laboratories,
-Reception rules for suspicious items,
-procedure and detection of dangerous substances in the air,
-identification of highly toxic substances by the combination of gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy,
-contamination of persons and laboratories
