Summary
The main goal of the course is to familiarise students with the system and
structures of management in the area of occupational safety and health in the European Union, the Czech Republic from the point of view of the management of firms, companies, organisations.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Familiarization of students with the organization of occupational and process safety (OPS) in the European Union, in the Czech Republic. OPS organization in organizations and companies.
Course Contents
The importance of organizing and managing health and safety at work. Organization of OSH in the EU and CR. European OSH Strategy. National Health and Safety Policy, National Occupational Health and Safety Program. Meaning and tasks of control and supervisory authorities. Organizing and managing health and safety at the enterprise level. Planning and implementation, hazard prevention, emergency preparedness and accident crash management. Performance monitoring and measurement, emergency investigations, occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Continuous improvement, preventive and corrective action. OSH policy, meaning of involvement and participation of employees.
