Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the different types and principles of technical means of security services, security inspections of persons and objects in industry and transport, detection, documentation, observation and search technology. Security threats from CBRNE substances, their characteristics, detection and detector types. Use of animals to detect dangerous substances. Technical means of security protection in the organization and especially in air transport. Biometric methods of detection, profiling. Technical means of road safety oversight. Enforcement, material means and their use. Evacuation and non-lethal technical means of the crowd, technical means of searching people in objects, on the ground, underground and underwater, means of observation under difficult conditions - noktovizory, milivizory, termovizory. Security inspections of persons and objects.
Course Contents
1. Threats of biological, chemical, radiation, nuclear and explosive substances, their characteristics.
2. Improvised explosive systems. Bait systems, leaf bombs and biologically defective packages, Molotov cocktail.
3. Detection of explosive systems, weapons and drugs. X-rays, detection frames, handheld detectors.
4. Detection of biological substances. Drugs and detection technology.
5. Chemical detection. Drugs and detection technology
6. Detection of radioactive substances. Drugs and detection technology
Improved means of protecting the population and rescue units.
8. Control the crowd. Non-fatal means of directing the crowd.
7. Technical means of personal protection of the citizen, optical means, paralyzers, acoustic means, tear means.
8. Biometrics and its use for individual identification of persons
9. Biometric technologies and methods of individual identification of persons.
10. RFID devices and their use in practice.
11. Technical means and methods for searching objects on land, underground and underwater.
12. Devices for observing at night and under severe light conditions.
13. Technical means of security services to maintain public order.
14. Technical means of monitoring road safety - stationary, mobile radar for speed measurement, vehicle speed measurement, speed information panels and surveillance camera system.
