| Achieving knowledge of safety requirements for machinery and technical equipment in terms of design, manufacture, certification of machinery equipment before it is placed on the market, but also when importing machinery of outside the EU. Orientation and achievement of safety requirements for electrical, gas, lifting and pressure equipment. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

The student will gain knowledge about the requirements for designers and manufacturers, or importers, relating to the safety of machines and technical equipment when placing machinery on the market.
The student will also become familiar with the issue of reserved technical equipment and their requirements for operation in terms of health and safety. |
| Course Contents |
|---|
1. Basic concepts. Definition of machinery. Requirements for manufacturers and designers when placing machinery on the market of European and national legislation.
2. Specified products according to Government Regulation 176/2008 Coll., on machinery equipment.
3. Essential health and safety requirements relating to the design and construction of machinery.
4. Mechanical hazards, electrical, thermal, generated by noise, vibration, radiation, produced by materials and substances.
5. Neglect of ergonomic principles, risk of slipping, tripping and falling, hazards associated with the environment in which the machine is used.
6. Risk reduction strategies.
7. General measures. Determination of machine limit values. Hazard identification, risk assessment and risk assessment.
8. Marking of machinery, certification.
9. Achieving of risk reduction objectives.
10. Dedicated technical lifting equipment.
11. Dedicated technical pressure equipment.
12. Dedicated technical gas equipment.
13. Dedicated technical electrical equipment.
