Summary
The course is aimed to extend the knowledge and acquire skills in the management of crisis situations. The theoretical part of course expands knowledge in crisis management and it is focused primarily on solving crisis situations using Crisis Staffs based on case studies of selected types of crisis situations. In the practical part of course the students will be through the solution selected model scenarios of emergency and crisis situations, consolidate obtained knowledge and they will acquiring the new skills needed for practice in Crisis Staffs.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students will extend their knowledge and skills in the field of crisis management using selected model scenarios of real emergency and crisis situations.
Course Contents
1. Introduction to Emergency Management,
2. Carrying of preparation for solving crisis situations,
3. Principles of cooperation and communication within a team
4. The safety documentation of Crisis Staff
5. Information support for working of Crisis Staff ,
6. Evaluation of current security situation in the territory,
7. Activities of the Standing Working Group Crisis Staff during resolving crisis situations,
8. Activities of the Crisis Staff during resolving crisis situation,
9. Principles of organization and management of education process of persons classified under crisis staffs,
10. Case studies of selected crisis situations (floods, discharges of dangerous substances, widespread fires, the threat of terrorist attack, etc.).
