Summary
The course is conceived as theoretical-practical whole. Acquainted with communication. It deepens the knowledge that is relevant to the professional management of difficult situations in the care of individual needs of sick, handicapped and the dying, and maintain mental balance of the actual providers of care and assistance. Quality health care is unthinkable without effective communication between medical professionals and patients and between other healthcare workers themselves.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
- Learn the basics of effective verbal and nonverbal communication, and communication security, deepen their empathy and listening
- Coping with adequate means of communication with patients and their family members and other health professionals themselves
Course Contents
- Nonverbal communication - facial expressions, Proxemics, haptics, postika, kinezika, communication gestures, speech and eye views, paralinguistic, communication makeovers. Specifics of nonverbal communication nurse with the patient.
-Verbal communication. Interview - a formal interview and site content, communication patterns in conversation, sharing of feelings in an interview. Questions (types of issues, effective dating). Dialogue as the highest form of personal interview. Specifics of verbal communication with nurses pacientem.Sdělování acts - devaluation and evalvace, interaction
-Communication skills - listening, communicating, creating a positive tune. Communication barriers - internal and external communication barriers. Disturbances in interpersonal communication
-Effective communication. The rules of effective communication - productive and unproductive behavior of nurses. Assertiveness - basic concepts, theory, techniques, assertiveness, assertive rights
-Communication between healthcare professionals themselves - multidisciplinary team communication, formal and informal communication, relationship nurse - doctor relationship nurse - other health personnel. Communication with the patient's family - the role of nurses, types of interviews, information, legal aspects, required to disclose, in an interview mistakes.
