Summary |
---|
Students will be familiar with the problems of queuing systems used in telecommunications. They also understand the issues of traffic load, state probability of queuing system, and Markov processes. Further, understand the significance of the 1st and 2nd Erlang equations and get a comprehensive overview of software for modeling and simulation of telecommunications networks. They learn to work with the most widely used tool in this area - Riverbed Modeler (OPNET). |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
Understand the principles of modelling and simulation of telecommunication networks. Learning outcomes are designed so that students are able to identify, apply and solve problems in modelling telecommunication networks. |
