Summary
The connection of multistage amplifiers. Parameters of real operational amplifiers and stability of the operating network. Transductance Amplifiers (OTA), Transimpedance Amplifiers (CFA) and Current Conveyors(CC).
Implementation of higher order filters. Method direct digital synthesis DDS and phase locked loop PLL. Power amplifiers. AM, FM and discrete modulators and demodulators. Amplifiers, multipliers and frequency dividers. Implementation of synthetic elements. Circuits with switched capacitors. Theory of sensitivity and tolerances.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
To understand the connection of electronic circuits created of discrete components and integrated circuits. Learning outcomes are designed so that students are able to identify, apply and solve problems in the field of analog electrical circuits.
Course Contents
Multistage amplifiers, amplifier bindings and their effect on amplifier properties.
Parameters of real operational amplifiers and their effect on the properties of the operating network.
Stability of operating networks.
Transductance amplifiers (OTA), principles and applications.
Transimpedance Amplifiers (CFAs) and Current Conveyor (CC) Circuits, Principle and Applications.
Electrical filters, approximation of the transmission function, execution of higher order filters.
Power Amplifiers, Amplifier Classes and Their Features.
Method direct digital synthesis DDS and phase locked loop PLL.
Circuit solutions for AM, FM and discrete modulation modulators and demodulators.
Circuit solutions of mixers, multipliers and frequency dividers.
Circuit realization of synthetic elements (synthetic inductance, double capacitor) and their application.
Circuits with switched capacitors, principles and applications.
Theory of sensitivy and tolerances.
