Summary
Subject consists of basic problems of DC transmission EHV and non harmonic curves of current and voltage. Further includes basic information about electrical stations and frequency and voltage control in electrical system.
Content of subject are also basics of electrical protection, reliability in electrical power engineering and electrical system stability.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
To prove knowledge and ability to apply problems of DC transmission EHV, non harmonic curves of current and voltage. To manage apply basic knowledge about electrical stations, frequency and voltage control, centralized ripple control.
To prove basic knowledge of electrical protection, reliability in electrical power engineering and electrical system stability.

Transmission of electric energy by direct current with VH
Harmonics of current and voltage and their filtration
Electrical substations
Control of frequency in electrical networks
Control of voltage in electrical networks
Transformers in electrical networks
Centralized Ripple Control, other methods of control of distribution networks
Mechanics of Overhead Lines
The basic reliability calculations
Stability of running of the electric power system
