Profile of the Programme |

The aim of the study is to educate graduates with solid theoretical knowledge in their field, with broad practical skills and abilities, with creative inventiveness and extensive possibilities to apply in practice to prepare university-educated workers, especially with practical knowledge of communication networks, multimedia, transmission devices, computer security, signal processing, electronics and optoelectronics. Graduates may continue in the follow-up master's degree program of the same name. |

The graduate in the Bachelor’s study of Telecommunication Technology will acquire - a broad knowledge and understanding of the subject and extent of the given branch of study, and the knowledge of the context in all areas of Telecommunication Technology - a broad knowledge of the basics of signals, transmission devices, modulation, signal processing, network procedures and technology, fundamentals of communication security, electronics, circuit solutions, principles of new telecommunication systems, focusing on radio and optical communication technology - an understanding of the possibilities, conditions and limitations of the application of the theory, concepts and methods of the branch in practice. |

The graduate in Telecommunication Technology will acquire a general view of a modern technical branch, manage to solve practical tasks in the sphere of terminal equipment, network technology, and handle practical issues in the conception of mobile and optical communication networks. The graduate can work with the information in the branch and organize it. He/she masters the research methods in dealing with issues related to voice and image analysis, simulation of fibre optical networks and security of telecommunication systems. |

The tuition is designed so that the student acquires the ability to work independently and deal with issues related to the transmission of data, has a general conception of the ethical issues of Telecommunication Technology, masters the preparation of presentations on selected topics of the branch and is able to present them independently. The acquired knowledge and skills enable the student to continue his/her studies in the follow-up courses. |

Graduates of the Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Technology can be mainly employed in the technical and lower managerial positions in the field of production, development, project solutions and technical sales support according to the chosen field. This interdisciplinary program provides to the graduates a broad view of the whole area that is essential for the system coordinator of individual technologies in the real-life practice. |
