Summary |
---|
The lectures deal with the evaluation of the quality of products and semi-products related to the testing of their material characteristics as the whole complex immediately downstream activities such as testing and calibration procedures and their validation, uncertainty testing and evaluation, metrology and calibration of measuring and test equipment to the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

1) Student will be able to describe the standard test methods and the
procedures in the field of materials engineering.
2) Student will have knowledge on how to create the standards at the
national, European and international level.
3) Student will be able to elaborate an instruction for the execution of
standardized tests of mechanical properties of materials.
4) Students will be able to define the basic activities of testing
laboratories.
5) Student will be able to determine the uncertainty of testing and
evaluation of uncertainties. |
Course Contents |

1) History of technical standardisation in the Czech Republic. Basic concepts in technical standardisation. Technical standardisation system in the Czech Republic.
2) The basics of standards at the international, European and national level.
3) Basics of metrology Terms and definitions. Test methods and procedures in the field of material engineering.
4) The accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories.
5) Quality management system, quality manual, quality procedures, quality instructions.
6) Calibration and Metrology.
7) Law No. 22/1997 Coll., The Law on technical requirements for products and amending and supplementing certain acts. Certification, authorization, authorized persons.
8) The uncertainties of testing and evaluation.
9) Validation. The role of validation in the context of accreditation.
10) The methods of mathematical statistics. |
