Qualification Requirements:
Finished higher education in Bachelor's degree programme.
Regulations:
The Czech educational system is regulated by the Higher Education Act (Act 111/1998). Studies at VŠB-TUO are regulated by the Statute of VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava.
Profile of the Branch
The masters study branch prepares engineering specialists in the areas of measurement, automation, mechatronics and applied engineering informatics, prepared for responsible technical-operational jobs and design-research activity.

Knowledge:
The graduates are able to analyse, diagnose and design demanding production, technological and information processes and equipment, to design their control using modern measurement means and computer equipment with programme-aided information technology. Graduates distinguish themselves through their specialized versatility and high adaptability, in the given and motivational selection of optional subjects and themes of diploma work according to a chosen specialization – Automated Control, Applied Informatics, Mechatronic System Control.
Skills:

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples
The graduates can find employment as engineers in technical operational, commercial and management positions, in the company departments of informatics, quality and process control, for example in the automobile industry, or if need be in management and marketing in the production and non-production spheres. Together with a chosen diploma work, a student selects a specialization: Automated Control, Applied Informatics, Mechatronic System Control.

Remark:
Course block: Compulsory - all courses are compulsory.
Course block: Choice-compulsory - student has to choose at least one course from the list of courses.
Course block: Optional - student can choose any course from the list of courses.
 
IMPORTANT: Student has to select so many courses to reach 30 ECTS credits per semester. Rules in detail and convenient selection of courses can be consulted with the programmme director.
Bellow stated courses are assigned for the degree studies only. Students coming to VŠB-TUO for an exchange stay must select courses from the List of courses for exchange students.
