Summary
Subject contains summary of actual technologies and terms in the field of PC HW, PC SW and computer networks LAN. The subject also contains introduction in to applied programming in the LabView development platform focused on the measurement and process control.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The main aim Computers and networks is to teach students orientation in terminology, structure and principles of the current HW personal computers and computer networks LAN.
Students completing the course will be able to configure the personal computer, including all of its typical components and peripherals. Furthermore, they will be able to set the BIOS install the operating system, configure the operating system for the administrator.
In the area of ​​computer networks, students will be able to create a simple LAN topology, set IP addresses to analyze errors in communication network, configure DHCP and DNS server, configure the NAT service.
On the practical lessons there is prograsmming in LabView development environment focused to measurement and proces control.
