Summary
The course belongs to a group of subjects, follows up and develops a course in the field of management, organization and management or designing of production processes and systems. Students will acquire basic knowledge of compliance and product certification and systems certification. They become acquainted with ISO 9001, 9004, 19011 and develop their creative thinking while applying the methods and tools of building and managing quality systems.
The aim of this course is to form a graduate's professional profile, who will manage production processes and systems in industrial companies.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Product certification
The student who has completed this subject will:
- understand current perception of quality;
- be able to understand the basic economic context of quality management;
- be able to use the basic quality management techniques and tools;
- have basic knowledge of product certification and will be able to apply legislative requirement to products;
- be able to develop a EC Declaration of Conformity based on Module A.
Course Contents
Lecture:
1. Quality development and care of quality, economy of quality, technical harmonization and the global approach to conformity assessment
2. General product safety. Manufacturer's obligations when marketing a product, conformity assessment pursuant to Act No. 22/1997 Coll. and procedure to issue an EC Declaration of Conformity
3. Modular concept of demonstrating product conformity, product certification, role of the product certification authority
4. ISO 9000 and ISO 10000 series standards and quality documentation, EN ISO 9001 standard contents and application
5. Quality assurance at the pre-process stage – design (FMEA, QFD), identification of processes and links between processes, constant improvement of processes
6. Management of resources (human resources, material resources, information resources, financial resources), quality system measurements and analyses (customer satisfaction assessment, audits)
7. Constant quality system improvements (corrective and preventive actions, management of non-conformances, audits)
8. Statistical methods - statistical process control, statistical acceptance
9. Quality audits as per ISO 19011
