Summary
Students will learn about basic terms of industrial design, basic processes in product design and history of design in the 2nd half of the 20th century. They will get acquainted with the solving of an industrial product design also practically.

Knowledge and understanding of basic knowledge on the theory and design development, plus the basic skills in design of industrial products with respect for the aesthetic, ergonomic, functional, technological, economic and environmental asp

• Basic terms of industrial design
• Basic methods of product design – Creating sketches
• Basic methods of product design – Creating virtual models – Creation of curves, shapes and their modifications (Rhinoceros software, NURBS modeler)
• Basic methods of product design – Creating virtual models – Creation of surfaces and their modifications (Rhinoceros software, NURBS modeler)
• Basic methods of product design – Creating virtual models – Methods for editing 3D objects (Rhinoceros software, NURBS modeler)
• Základy grafického designu – Základní pojmy vektorové a bitmapové grafiky
• Principles of creating expert texts (paper, bachelor\'s thesis, etc.)
