Summary
Students get acquainted with details of gas thermodynamics, and they acquire
some knowledge concerning issues of heat transfer. This knowledge is a
prerequisite for deeper understanding of problems regarding efficient
generation, transformation, and distribution of thermal energy.

Course Contents
- I. law of thermodynamics
- Basic laws and equations of state of ideal gas
- Reversible changes of ideal gas
- Thermal cycles of direct and reversed. II. law of thermodynamics
- Comparative cycles of combustion engines.
- Machines for compression and transport of air mass,
- Gas mixture.
- Vapors. Clapeyron-Clausius equation.
- Humid air and damp technical gases.
- Heat transfer.
- Heat exchangers.
