Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

Course Contents
1. Physical fundamentals of nuclear energy, radioactive decay , neutron nuclear reactions, balance of neutrons in a nuclear reactor.
2.Physical calculation second reactor , the diffusion of neutrons equation critical nuclear reactor neutron flux .
3. Generation of heat in a nuclear reactor , the distribution of heat flux , the course of the temperature field in the fuel element and the active zone.
4. Control of the fourth nuclear reactor , reactor poisoning , iodine pit .
5. Types fifth nuclear power , light water, heavy water , high temperature , and gas -cooled .
6. Nuclear cycle , fuel and fuel cell manufacturing,
7. Storage and disposal of nuclear waste.
8. Thermal diagrams of nuclear power plants , thermal efficiency and ways of its improvement .
9. Technological areas , systems , emergency cooling of the reactor containment .
10.Steam generators in nuclear power plants , construction of horizontal and vertical , calculation of main dimensions , dynamic properties .
11. Primary circuit and power pumps, valves , drip systems, air conditioning , ventilation .
