Summary
The course includes defining the nature of the company and business in transport, property and capital structure of transport companies, efficiency in transport, financial accounting in transport, methods of financing the company. The course also includes investments and their efficiency in transport and financial analysis. Attention is also paid to the issues of transport management, operational management and transport planning, but also methods of managerial decision-making.
The practical part is devoted to the solution of the semester work. The aim of this semester work is the application of methods of multicriteria evaluation of variants to a specific decision-making problem in the field of transport systems.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the essence of business and entrepreneurship in transport, property and capital structure of transport companies, efficiency in transport, financial accounting in transport, methods of financing the company. The course also includes investments and their efficiency in transport and financial analysis. Attention is also paid to the issues of transport management, operational management and transport planning, but also methods of managerial decision-making.

1. Introduction to the subject, definition of basic terms.
2. The essence of the company and business in transport.
3. Property and capital structure of transport companies
4. Property of the company and its financial coverage.
5. Efficiency in transport and its basic categories - expenses and costs, calculation and dynamic breakdown of costs.
6. Sales, revenues and profit.
7. Financial accounting in transport - financial statements and their analysis.
8. Ways of financing a company.
9. Investments and their efficiency in transport.
10. Financial analysis.
11. Management in traffic - forms of management, operational traffic management, traffic planning.
12. Managerial decision-making - Identification, analysis and formulation of decision-making problems.
13. Managerial decision-making - Selection of criteria, creation of variants and determination of their consequences.
14. Managerial decision-making - Evaluation of decision-making variants and selection of the most suitable variant.
