Summary |
---|
Laboratory exercise follows the subject Physics IV in atomic and nuclear physics and complements the theory with basic practical tasks. Emphasis is placed not only on the measurement itself, but also on its evaluation and processing. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
To apply theoretical concepts of atomic and nuclear physics in laboratory esperiments. To work with experimantal setup used in atomic and nuclear physics. To apply simple statistical methods for measurement analysis and evaluation. |
Course Contents |
---|
Introduction to the methodology of performing individual experimental tasks.
Cyclic measurement of the following tasks: Franck-Hertz experiment, X-ray diffraction on crystals, Electron diffraction on polycrystalline materials, Rutherford experiment, Absorption of ionizing radiation, Statistical character of radioactive decay |
