Summary |
---|
Types of measurement, measurement economics, measurement procedure, evaluation of measurement results. Transmitters of mechanical values to electrical (strain gauges, inductive and capacitive sensors), plane stress measurement and its evaluation. Design and construction of forcemeters, torque and bending moment sensors, strain measurement using strain gauge sensors. Mechanical and electric tachometers. Measurement of pressure in liquids and gases. Relative and absolute vibration sensors. Instrumentation for vibration and noise measurement. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
Students will acquire methods that can be used to obtain information about the operating load of machine parts, especially from the point of view of information needed for strength and lifetime calculations of machine parts. The student will be able to realize a simple experiment to analyze local stresses of machine parts, as well as simple types of sensors of mechanical values, especially forces, torques, pressure. It will also gain an idea of the possibilities of internal stress analysis in the material. The student will be able to analyze the technical measurements in terms of accuracy and validity of the obtained results. |
