Summary
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with design work within three specializations of the Industrial Design: Product Design, Interiors and Materials and Technology for Design. Students will get an overview of infrastructure and background of individual specializations. Students solve three projects, which will be defended in the end of the semestr. Finally, students will select their specializations.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Students will learn how to analyze and propose solutions to partial tasks within the framework of assigned tasks.
Course Contents
The topics of the projects are chosen so that the student gets acquainted with the specific problems of design work within the three specializations of the study program Industrial Design.
1. Introduction to the organization of the course Atelier I, visit of studios and laboratories of all three specializations, general requirements for project processing.
2. Introduction to the specialization of Product Design, demonstration of projects, specification of the topic and objectives of the project No.1
3.-5. Project elaboration - no.1.
6. Introduction to the specialization of Materials and Technology for Design, Demonstration of Projects, Specification of the Theme and Objectives of Project No. 2
7.-9. Project elaboration - no.2.
10. Introduction to the specialization of Interiors, project demonstrations, specification of the theme and objectives of project No. 3
11.-13. Project elaboration - no.3.
14. Project defense. Selection of specialization.
