Summary
The excursion systematically extends the history of art curriculum and allows students to get in touch with art-historical monuments of all styles and art. It enables to get to know the art monuments of various stylistic character in the field, where the student learns in a problematic way to see the works of art in the dynamics of their period changes. The aim of learning about artworks from autopsy is also to deepen the experience of this process.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
At the end of the course students should be able to:
• describe an architecturally valuable object using professional art-historical terminology,
• distinguish individual art styles in the field
• prepare a fairly correct and at the same time user-friendly interpretation of the architectural monument and its decorative accessories,
• to understand the issue of the use of historical monuments and their incorporation into contemporary social operations,
• manage the role of an educated “guide” to an architecturally valuable location
• deepen their prerequisites for engaging in professional critical and historiographic debate on fine arts, as well as their organizational and educational skills.
