Summary
Graduate of the subject obtains a wider summary of technical facilities, constructional solving of basic nodal points of objective mechanization and mechanical units, technology of earth and building machines settings. Content of the subject are mainly earthy machinery – dozers, scrapers, road grader, shovel excavator, shovel loader, trencher, scarifier and so on. Further it are machinery for big earth movement - bucket wheel excavators, steam-paddy and shovel excavators and machinery for raw material adjustment and manipulation - crushers and mills, landfill machinery inclusive machines and equipment fort bulk and cement manipulation and machinery for concrete production.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Graduaete of the subject could be able oriented in the area of machines for earth moving and machines for raw materials. Will be able logically suppose and design machines and machinery in the given area for concrete application.
Course Contents
1. Classification of machines, basic concepts, fundamentals of technology, use.
2. Undercarriages of earthmoving machines - caterpillar (crawler), wheeled, rail, walking, rail-walking.
3. Rotate of the upper construction of earthmoving and mining machines - classification by construction, drive of rotation.
4. Lifting mechanisms, transport systems of large machines.
5. Bucket wheel excavators - classification, basic components, wheel boom tip, performance.
6. Bucket excavators - classification, basic assemblies, bucket boom, performance.
7. Shovel excavators, rope shovel excavators and dragline - construction units, working equipment, performance.
8. Float bucket wheel excavators and elevators, float wheeled excavators, sucking excavators.
9. Compact wheel excavators, surface mining machines, stackers.
10. Machines for crushing and grinding.
11. Machines for primary and secondary cutting and processing of stone products.
12. Auxiliary, additional machinery and equipment - dozers, scrapers, rippers, shovel excavators and loaders.
13. Drilling machines and assemblies, drilling machines and complexes.
14. Mining machines and complexes in underground mining.

Study literature mainly for English speaking students will be recommended individually depending on the theme of the semestral project. Standards, machine parts catalogues, technical and mechanical tables and corporate literature - depending on the character tasks.
