Summary
Students will learn the wider context of the CAD to create 3D models of parts and assemblies of mechatronic systems for more efficient use of the design process and realization in terms of the mechanical design. An important aspect of the effective design is the management of current data, which will also mentioned and practised. Students will also get acquainted with the Top-Down design method for mechanisms assemblies structures. The end of the semester will be devoted to specific requirements of used simulation systems of robotic workplaces (RobotStudio, Process Simulate, V-Rep) for input data formats and their preparation from a 3D design model in CAD system.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Creation of a 3D model with respect to the current phase of the technical system life cycle.
Creation of an assembly structure of the 3D model of the technical system for the needs of the various design stages.
Full parameterization of the model and its importance.
Preparation of 3D models for data export to simulation systems.
