Students will gain knowledge in the field of energy storage. They will gain an overview of the accumulation of two main energy commodities, namely heat and electricity. |

1. The role and importance of energy storage in the chain energy source - energy production - appliance
2. Heat accumulation, principles, technologies
3. Heat transfer and storage substances
4. Hot water storage tanks using sensible heat, storage time constant
5. Heat storage tanks using latent heat
6. Accumulation of high temperature heat
7. Large-capacity heat storage tanks for long-term accumulation
8. Heat accumulation using sorption processes
9. Heat accumulation by chemical processes
10. Accumulation of electricity, principles, technologies
11. Accumulation of electricity using mechanical energy and enthalpy
12. Electrochemical accumulation of electrical energy
13. Electromagnetic accumulation of electrical energy
14. Technical, economic and ecological aspects of electricity storage
