Summary |

Basic selected theories related to the computer simulations in industry. Work in CAD/CAM system NX. 3D modeling, assemblies, simulation of strength and modal analysis using material linearity. Implementation of a practical project from the automotive.
Study of selected theories from the subjects of mathematics, mechanics and elasticity and strength, which are necessary for understanding the principle of computer simulations in industry. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

Knowledge of theories related to the basic types of computer simulations used in industrial design. Ability to work with CAD/CAM system NX. Ability to implement simulations of strength and modal analyzes of a technical object. Ability to evaluate the mechanical properties of a technical object based on the results of simulations. Practical experience with a real practice project. |
Course Contents |

Creation of computer simulations according to real projects from practice. Geometry idealization, definition of material, meshing with several types of objects, boundary conditions. Displaying and evaluating results.
Creation of a project report on the basis of knowledge of the solved problems and outputs from realized computer simulations.
