Summary
After completing the course, the student will gain an overview of the structural units of aircraft, materials used for their production and possible ways of damage. They will also get acquainted with the basic principles of aircraft maintenance.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic structural units of aircraft, materials for their production and the basic principles of maintenance of aircraft technology.
Course Contents
1. Design concepts used in aircraft construction.
2. Loads and stresses in aviation materials.
3. Fatigue of material during operation of aircraft technology.
4. Corrosion of aviation metal materials.
5. Construction methods used in the manufacture of aircraft.
6. Methods of joining aviation materials.
7. Aerospace materials and their properties.
8. Aircraft maintenance.
9. Construction of wings.
10. Construction of tail surfaces.
11. Construction of control elements.
12. Hull construction.
13. Construction of chassis and floors.
14. Construction of doors and windows.
