Summary |

The course is based on module 021 - Airframes and systems. The content is focused on knowledge of the design of airframe transport aircraft. Comprehensive knowledge of the design of individual airframe units of civil transport aircraft increases the level of air traffic safety.
The student will acquire competencies in the issue of individual structural units of kites of civil transport aircraft to the extent that allows him to pass the ATPL exams at the Civil Aviation Authority in Prague. |

Course Contents |

1. Division of aircraft - historical development of aircraft structures.
2. Basic parts of airplanes and their functions.
3. Materials used in aircraft construction.
4. Technological procedures used in the construction of commercial aircraft.
5. Construction of the fuselage and additional elements, cockpit, windows, passenger compartment, cargo space.
6. Construction of wings and tail surfaces of aircraft.
7. Construction of control surfaces.
8. Means of increasing the lift and drag of transport aircraft.
9. Landing equipment of transport aircraft, types of construction, tires, brakes, brake cooling, emergency extension.
10. Installation of engines.
11. Aircraft control - turn and multiple envelope. Mechanical, hydraulic, Fly-By-Wire control. Primary and secondary elements.
12. Specifics of supersonic aircraft structures.
13. Structural loads, stresses, aeroelastic vibrations. Aircraft testing, flying and certification.
14. Development trends of aircraft structures, discussions, consultations. |
