Summary
The course is based on module 022, Annex II, EC Decision No. 2016/008 / R - Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering in Aviation. The content of the course is focused on knowledge of the context of electrical elements, their principles, subsequent use in the operation of the aircraft system and electronic parts of the equipment.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The student will gain an overview of the basic principles of electrical engineering to the extent necessary for a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with an aviation focus, who will meet them as a user. They will acquire knowledge about the context of electrical elements and their use in aircraft systems and the electronic part of the equipment, which will be worked on later.
Course Contents
1. Resistive (R), capacitive (C), inductive (L) circuits.
2. Transformers, filters.
3. AC generators.
4. AC motors.
5. Number systems.
6. Data conversion - Analog data, digital data.
7. Data bus.
8. Logic circuits.
9. Basic structure of computers used in aviation.
10. Microprocessors applications in control.
11. Integrated circuits used in aviation.
12. Optical fibers used in aviation.
13. Detectors and receivers used in aviation.
14. Electronic display elements.
