Summary
The course is based on module 070 – Operating Procedures.
The course acquaints students with the interpretation of aviation regulations, rules, and procedures, which is a basic prerequisite for the safe performance of VFR and IFR flights.
The student will also acquire competencies in the field of operational procedures, which allow him to pass the PPL and ATPL exams at the Civil Aviation Authority in Prague.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The subject´s goal is to achieve the necessary competencies to focus on the issues of flight and other operational procedures used in general aviation. Completion of this course is part of the training for obtaining PPL and ATPL licenses.
Course Contents
1. Introduction to VFR manual.
2. AIP CZ and aviation regulations. Authorized authorities and organizations in the Czech Republic.
3. Air traffic services, division of sectors in the Czech Republic. Aviation information, pre-flight information bulletin, flight plan.
4. Division and elements of airspace.
5. Rules for visibility flights. VFR flight, VFR night, special VFR flight - conditions for individual types of flights.
6. Rules for altimeter setting procedures and rules for answering machine setup procedures.
7. Annex 6.
8. Operator oversight and certification requirements.
9. Requirements for communication, navigation, instruments, and safety equipment.
10. Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Airframe Deviation List (CDL).
11. Airplane maintenance, special operating procedures, and hazards.
12. Flight crew, cabin crew - time limit in service, type.
13. Expert investigation of the causes of air accidents and incidents.
14. Search and rescue.
