Summary
The basic subject, in which the students get acquainted with the issues of construction and operation of transport and handling equipment, with the basic types and components of continuously operating equipment and the relevant professional terminology. The content of the course deals with basic computational and graphic-computational methods in the field of transport equipment technology, as well as with theories and practical applications, design variants of generally used equipment in the field of material handling.
Main topics after individual weeks of teaching:
1) Introduction, correct choice of conveyor, selection criteria, typical applications, economic aspect of selection, basic literature.
2) Belt conveyor, basics of force transmission, coefficient of friction, single and multi-drum drives, partial drives, belt construction, drive and tensioning stations, transient modes.
3) Special belt conveyors, conveyors with cover belt, closed, copying the terrain, new types and designs, eg Flexowel, Sicon.
4) Chain conveyors, construction, applications, deployment options, drive design and tensioning, calculation.
5) Articulated conveyors, construction, applications, application possibilities, construction of drive and tensioning, calculation.
6) Redlers, calculation, construction, applications, construction of carriers, drive and tensioning.
7) Overhead conveyors, construction of typical hinges, applications, construction of drive and tensioning station.
8) Bucket elevators, drive stations, tensioning stations, attachment of the bucket to the carrier, technological applications.
9) Screw conveyors, calculation, applications, technological applications. Vibrating conveyors, basic calculation, types of drive, construction, applications.
10) Gravity roller tracks, track construction, service equipment construction, roller construction. Roller tracks driven, calculation, track construction.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Knowledge of basic types trafic and handling machines. Students acquire knowledge and bases theory and practical application generally used traffic and handling device. Students define basic classification and characteristics transport materiál, theoretic bases transport, transporter for fluent transport, vehicles for intermittent transport.
