Mathematical description of the linear dynamic systems, analysis and synthesis of the SISO control systems, problems of the digital and discontinuous control. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
The subject Automatic Control belongs to basic theoretical subjects, which form the background of the Mechatronic study. Its main aim is understanding of the simple continuous and discrete control systems and two- and three position control. |
Course Contents |
---|
1. Acquainting with problems and content of subject. L- and Z- transforms, determination of originals and transforms, solution of differential equations.
2. Mathematical models of linear continuous and discrete dynamic elements.
3. Basic kinds of linear and discrete continuous dynamic elements. Linearization.
4. Creation of mathematical models of real dynamic elements.
5. Simple experimental identification methods, plant transfer function conversion.
6. Continuous and digital linear control system and its behavior. Basic transfer functions.
7. Analog (continuous) conventional controllers, their behavior, realizations and modifications.
8. Digital (discrete) conventional controllers, their behavior, realizations and modifications.
9. Stability of linear control systems, algebraic and geometric stability criteria. Bilinear transformation.
10. Control process performance and its assesment in time, frequency and complex variable domains.
11. Controller tuning, analytical and experimental methods.
12. Analytical controller tuning methods.
13. Control systems with digital (discrete) controller. Selection of the sampling period.
14. Control systems with two- and tree-position controllers and their modifications. |
