Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Define computational models of machine parts and assemblies of robots.
Analyze of computational models.
Interpret the analysis results.
To solve the problem of components and subassemblies.
Course Contents
1. The Introduction to the module Pro/ MECHANICAL - STRUCTURE, possibilities of using, limitations. Importance
for use in current design practice. Principle of geometric elements method.
2. Creation of the computational model. Units used. Entering the material from the library, define a new material. Definition of boundary conditions (type of constrain).
3. Entering of load, types of loads. The definition of the type of analysis, selection analysis. The performing the first calculation method Quik Check. Interpret of calculated values.
4. The definition of computational methods "single pass", "Multi-Pass. The principle of convergence results.
5. Creation of regions, geometric elements meshing of model.
6. Idealization of the computational model. Creation of shell elements. Entering
boundary conditions, entry load. Creation of the elements of the "beam".
Creation springs.
7. Creation of joints, joint with one degree of freedom (rotations), with three joint rotations.
8. Analysis of weldments.
9. Analysis of bolted joints.
10. Analyzing of the behavior fix in the shaft roller bearings.
11. Introduction to the optimization. The definition of an optimized system.
12. The Sensitive analysis. Definition and analysis.
13.The Definition of the optimization study. Design optimization, interpretation of results.
14. Defining computational models symmetric constrains.
