Summary
Purpose of the reserves estimation. Terms of the mineral deposits reserves and
resources (national and international classifications and problems of their
relations). Geological and mineable reserves, their relations (geological, technical
and economical models of the mineral deposits). Conditions for the mineral
reseves assesment. Main parameters of the mineral deposits for reserves
estimation. Methods for reserves estimation (traditional and modern). Estimation
of the mineable reserves. Accuracy reserves estimation. Rational reserves
utilization and problems of the mineral deposit reserves management.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Goal of the subject is to provide knowledge to the university student, so he/she will
be able to understand given points at issue good enough to analyse its content, to
realise synthesis of the acquired information and its evaluation. This sciential base
allows student to compare results of the synthesis, propose modifications and
