Summary
Environmental protecting and especially water ecosystems protection requires cleaning of wastewater point sources. The level of protection is usually assessed according to the produced and discharged pollution. This course includes information about basic methods in water protection and cleaning of various types of industrial and municipal wastewater.
-The basic legislative requirements and standards
-The quantity and quality of waste water
-Biological load
-Sewage disposal
-Contaminants
-Waste water sewage from plant, animal and industrial production
-Wastewater treatment technologies
-Sludge management
-Small WWTP
-Monitorig - data collection
-Statistical evaluation of data
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to introduce students the basic methods used in technology of protection and treatment of industrial and domestic effluents. For evaluation of pollution scale and removal of the pollutants are used modern statistical methods.
