Summary |

Basic principles and concepts of advanced quality management. The ISO 9000 family of standards concepts and TQM concept. Economic considerations related to quality management. Application of basic methods and tools of quality management at products design and development, realization and delivering. Quality management at purchasing. Systems measurements within quality management systems (customer satisfaction measurement, benchmarkind etc.) Auditing at quality management systems. Approaches, methods and tools of continuous improvement. Development trends within quality management systems - the excellence models and their use. Integrated management systems. |

To understand current perception of quality. To learn about basic principles, concepts and directions of quality management. To clarify the ISO 9000 family of standards and the TQM concept. To apply basic quality management tools and methods. To understand economic consecventions of quality management. |

2. Quality management systems - concepts. The ISO 9000 family of standards.
3. TQM concepts and models. Quality awards.
4. Top management strategic role at quality management. QMS documentation.
5. Quality economy. Quality related costs, including life cycle costs.
6. Testing and certification. EU approaches to quality assurance.
7. Quality auditing and self-assessment: approaches and tools.
8. Quality and human factor - motivation and training.
9. Quality at design and development. Quality at purchasing.
10. Quality management at product realization. Statistical process control.
11. Quality at sales and service. Product liability. Infrastructure management. Customer satisfaction measurement.
12. Quality management at public sector and governance.
13. Quality improvement - PDCA cycle and methodology of improvement. FMEA and other methods.
14. Quality and ecology. Environmental management systems and ISO 14 000 family of standards. Integrated management systems. Corporate social responsibility.
