Summary
The subject solves global environmental problems of hydrosphere, nowadays
condition, evolution and changes in result of anthropogennic activity on the
world and in the Czech Republic. The subject respects admission “Sustainable
development”.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
This subject informs students about global enviromental problems of hydrosphere, nowadays condition, evolution and changes in result of anthropogennic activity.
Course Contents
1)Global description of the state of the hydrosphere - x existing problems Technology Solutions.
2)Causes and effects of acidification of surface waters and methods of evaluation.
3)Eutrophication (origin, causes and consequences, the possibility of removal), sensitive catchment.
4)Monitoring Load basin (area, point and diffuse sources).
5)The impact of development on the dynamics of groundwater flow and flow conditions in urban areas.
6)Monitoring and evaluation of the effects of total deposition and local resourcs to a surface contamination.
7)POPs in the waters (causes, behavior and ways of eliminating them)
8)Causes and consequences of contamination of surface and groundwater inorganic and organic pollutants.
9)Influence of water management structures and systems on the hydrosphere
10)Protection of aquatic ecosystems
11)Water management
12)Flood and drought issues
