Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

To develop and apply knowledge from Landscape Ecology, target the students ability to analyse, to judge and to decide within Landscape regeneration. Knowledge of wood species important for landcape restoration (winter - verdureless) |

1. The importance of remediation in the process of landscape regeneration. The concept of landscape restoration, the various stages, the essence.
2. Aspects of selection of optimal methods of remediation - ecological, socio-economic and territorial-technical aspects of selection of optimal methods of remediation.
3. Remediation in surface mining of raw materials - principles, goals, specifics and methods.
4. Remediation in deep mining of raw materials - principles, goals, specifics and methods.
5. Waste disposal and subsequent remediation - principles, goals, specifics and methods.
6. Methods and procedures in the processing of project documentation of the landscape restoration plan, documents.
7. Principles of technical remediation, goals of technical remediation.
8. Biological remediation - principles and typology according to the reclamation goal.
9. Brownfields - problems and solutions.
10. Controlled succession in the process of landscape remediation.
11. Importance of tree species and groups of tree species in the remediation of landscape parts.
12. Procedures and technologies of planting and sowing plants in the process of remediation.
13. Dendrology and determination of tree species in the leafless state.
14. Revitalization of running and standing water. |
